Housing First

Intensive case management is provided for persons experiencing homelessness that are in need of temporary subsidized rental assistance, while promoting a savings plan and asset building option to help ensure self-sufficiency at the conclusion of the program. Each participant receives assistance in developing skills including:

  • Budgeting
  • Life management skills

Duration of Services:

The duration of services range from three months to 12 months, determination made on case by case basis. Referrals are required to be received through Broward County’s Coordinated Assessment process that can be accessed by calling 954-563-4357 (HELP).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Meet HUD’s definition of homeless
  • Reside in Broward County
  • Demonstrate the ability to attain self-sufficiency through documentation of the ability to pay rent and living expenses when rental subsidy ends
