Week of March 12, 2012

1. Planning and Zoning subcommittee and Standardized Permitting subcommittee have started their routine coordination meetings.  If interested, contact the subcommittee chairs (see committees link below).
2. Broward staff working on a letter to each participating partner city, providing a status update on the Rooftop Solar Challenge.  Goal is for these letters to go out within the next week or two.
3. Broward staff person attended the Solar Energy Conference in San Jose, CA, March 19 - 21.  Several contacts made and valuable information obtained.  Summary of conference will be provided at the March 28, 2012 Standardized Permitting subcommittee meeting.
4. Item 22 of the March 20, 2012 Broward County Board of County Commissioners Commission Meeting is approval of the Rooftop Solar Challenge agreement.
