Ms. Jarrett-Mays is a lifelong resident of South Florida, who graduated from Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale and was also a cum laude graduate from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.

Ms. Jarrett-Mays worked with Jacobs Engineering Inc. as an engineer for 12 years. She is now the Broker/Owner with Dream Team Realty, LLC, covering the South Florida area. Ms. Jarrett-Mays focus is helping families obtain homeownership. She has served on the Budget Advisory Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale and holds memberships with the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale, National Association of Real Estate Brokers, South Florida Board of Realtists, National Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, Council of Residential Specialists (CRS), National Black MBA Association, South Florida Chapter, Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Broward County Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Millennium Movers.​
