40 New Affordable Single Family Homes Coming to the Municipal Services District

Homes will be available for purchase to qualifying very-low to moderate income households through a lottery system. 
The homes will be available for purchase through a lottery system to very-low to moderate income households who qualify for first mortgage financing with an approved lender and who will use the homes as their primary residence. The County may also provide purchase assistance for qualified buyers. All new buyers are required to attend homeowner education class and meet current Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division underwriting criteria for the home purchase and loans. 
Applications will be available starting April 3, 2017 at Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division or on our website. The application period will be open until 12 Noon, June 30, 2017 and completed applications should be delivered in person to the Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division.

This project is consistent with and furthers the Central County Community Redevelopment Plan approved by the Board on October 23, 2012, and the Central County Targeted Planning and Economic Development Strategy for NW 27th Avenue. Apply Now​


Home Repair Assistance 
Application period CLOSED effective March 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
Eligible homeowners may apply for assistance with repairs to their home.  The maximum amount of assistance is $40,000 and will be determined by the actual cost of the work. Eligible households must have incomes less than 80% of the Area Median Income, adjusted by family size.
Repairs will be limited to:
  • Roof repair and/or replacement; complete repair/replacement of deteriorated roofing system
  • Window replacement
  • Door replacement
  • Insulation
  • Hurricane/storm shutters
Home repair funds will be secured with a junior note and mortgage on the property. There will be no interest and as long as the borrower continues to own, occupy, and maintain the home for a period of 10 years, the loan will be forgiven.
Funds for this program are limited and applicants will be served on a first come, first qualified basis​
