Rental Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program
Broward County > Housing

The Rental Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program is for developers only.

No funding at this time; this program has been suspended indefinitely.

Competitive Bid Selection Process

Broward County, through the administration of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program*, will make funds available through a separate competitive bid process. Notice will be advertised in a newspaper of general circulation announcing the County's request for proposal, letter of interest or quotes (RFP/RLI/RFQ). The notice will state the application procedures and application deadline.

The Rental Acquisition and Rehabilitation provides financial assistance to owners of rental properties in the form of a 30-year deferred payment loan for the purpose of acquisition, rehabilitation or a combination of acquisition and rehabilitation. Rehabilitated units are to be occupied by eligible families upon completion or rehabilitation.

(*) The purpose of the SHIP Program is to assist in meeting specific housing needs of very-low, low and moderate income households, to expand the production and preservation of affordable housing.

For more information about this program, please contact: Mildred Reynolds at (954) 357-4939.
