PUBLIC NOTICE of NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION  PROGRAM 3 (NSP3) RECOMMENDATIONS BROWARD COUNTY HOUSING FINANCE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (HF&CD) DIVISION

May 16, 2011

Pursuant to federal regulations published in the Federal Register at 75 FR 64322 and regarding Title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, as amended, and in accordance with Title XII of Division A of the American Recovery Act of 2009, as amended, additional funds were allocated under Section 1497 of the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010, for the "Neighborhood Stabilization Program 3 (NSP3)". Broward County HF&CD staff recommends the continuation and extension of two successful NSP1 activities by offering NSP3 agreements to the agencies that successfully carried out these activities in NSP1. NSP3 has a relatively short three year program life, this recommendation will help expedite project implementation given the prior NSP1 experience both agencies have. NSP3 agreements will be funded under the County’s NSP3 allocation received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development:
