PUBLIC NOTICE - SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE ADVERTISEMENT BROWARD COUNTY HOUSING FINANCE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION

NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM 1 (NSP1)

Federal regulations governing the Broward County FY2005-2010 Consolidated Plan require that citizens be provided with reasonable notice of and opportunity to comment on any substantial amendment to the Plan as indicated below, per CFR Part 91.505

SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO ACTIVITIES IN THE ACTION PLAN

Broward County hereby invites citizens to comment upon the proposed substantial amendments to the following NSP1 activities identified in the FY2008/2009 amended Action Plan. To comment or for more specific information, please contact the Housing Finance and Community Development Division; 110 NE 3rd Street, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33301, (954) 357-4906 by May 31, 2011.

BROWARD ALLIANCE FOR NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT // Single-family Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resale Program Income – $34,353 – Program Income derived from the sale of rehabilitated single-family homes.  HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE // Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Rental – $34,353 – Acquisition, rehabilitation and rental of twenty (20) foreclosed or abandoned multifamily properties for low income, and low, moderate and middle income households. 
BROWARD COUNTY HOUSING FINANCE & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION // Down-payment Assistance – $90,680 – Down-payment assistance on foreclosed or abandoned properties for low, moderate and middle income households. BHP COMMUNITY LAND TRUST // Rehabilitation and Rental, Low Income – $90,680 – Rehabilitation and rental of sixteen (16) foreclosed or abandoned multifamily housing units for low income households.
The City of North Lauderdale // Down-payment Assistance – $163,579 – Down-payment assistance on foreclosed or abandoned properties for low, moderate and middle income households.  BHP COMMUNITY LAND TRUST // Rehabilitation and Rental, Low Income – $163,579 – Rehabilitation and rental of sixteen (16) foreclosed or abandoned multifamily housing units for low income households. 
The City of North Lauderdale // Down-payment Assistance – $90,000 – Down-payment assistance on foreclosed or abandoned properties for low, moderate and middle income households.  The City of North Lauderdale // Rehabilitation – $90,000 – Rehabilitation of a minimum of four (4) foreclosed or abandoned single-family homes for low, moderate and middle income households. 
The City of Hallandale Beach // Single-family Acquisition, Low, Moderate and Middle Income – $77,350 – Acquisition of foreclosed or abandoned properties for low, moderate and middle income households. The City of Hallandale Beach // Single-family Rehabilitation and Resale, Low Income – $77,350 – Rehabilitation and resale of a minimum of four (4) foreclosed or abandoned properties for low income households. 

The deadline for comments or inquiries regarding this Substantial Change Amendment is May 31, 2011 as stated above.
