Water and Wastewater Services

Salary range: $83,541 - $137,007 per year

Broward County Water and Wastewater Services provides retail water and sewer services for over 50,000 residential customers, regional wastewater services for over 600,000 citizens and storm water and canal management services supporting aquifer recharge and flood management throughout Broward County. The agency seeks a dynamic, well established financial and business leader, preferably with direct high level utility management experience, to be part of the executive team and provide leadership and direction to division staff. This position is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the utility’s business and financial operations including rate setting analysis, bond financing, budget preparation, cost/benefit analysis, customer service, accounting, financial reporting, purchasing and other functions in support of the utility’s business operations. 

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field is required in addition to six (6) years experience in utility financial management, including four (4) years high level supervisory and administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience. Applicants must be licensed as a CPA in the state of Florida to be considered.
