Broward Breaks Ground for New Broward Addiction
The Broward Addiction Recover Center (BARC) will soon have a new home with space to accommodate more people in a state of the art facility designed to provide the best care available for people in need of alcohol and drug addiction treatment. Broward Commissioners, BARC staff and community leaders officially broke ground at the new BARC property located at 325 SW 28th St. in Fort Lauderdale.
Teamwork Helps Defeat Broward's Flakka Epidemic
Teamwork pays off! It's been almost 10 months since the Broward County Flakka Action Team waged an educational campaign warning residents of the life-threatening dangers of flakka, an inexpensive and readily available synthetic bath salt drug. Since that time, the number of reported flakka incidences in Broward County continues to dramatically decline.
