Through its community outreach activities, Human Rights Section strives to:
- Facilitate positive inter-group relations through outreach, training, and education
- Inform the public of the mission of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards
- Assist in eradicating intolerance of differences throughout Broward County 's diverse population
Human Rights Section welcomes the opportunity to participate in and present outreach programs for residents of Broward County to inform them of their rights under the law and to provide them with the knowledge needed to avoid potentially discriminatory practices. Our programs are designed to provide an enhanced understanding of human rights laws, the value of tolerance and the importance of diversity.
Human Rights Section is available to provide free training and presentations to interested groups and companies on fair housing, managing discrimination in the workplace, and other topics. This community service program fosters greater understanding of your legal rights and responsibilities under the law with a goal of protecting the rights of Broward County residents and to prevent discrimination in our community.

Programs can be tailored to meet the particular needs of your group, organization or staff – from presentations at local schools to special interest groups at Senior Centers.
