Print Sources – Books and Government Documents
The Reference Section, located on the fifth floor of the Broward County Main Library, provides a variety of reference materials on the subject of international business. Circulating books on international trade are located on the fourth floor of the Broward County Main Library.
Books and government documents on the following topics are available:
- Directories of principal international companies
- Doing business in various countries throughout the world
- Importing and exporting
- Legal materials
- Trade statistics
Note: Books on international trade are available at many branches of the Broward County Library and are generally classified in the 382 Dewey Decimal section of the library.
Business Insights: Essential (website) provides links to full-text articles from business journals on a wide variety of business topics, including international trade. It is accessible from any computer.
USA Trade Online
The Reference Section provides a variety of import and export information, including a subscription to USA Trade Online, an online international trade database from the Foreign Trade Division of the U.S. Census Bureau. This is available in its entirety only at the Reference Section of the Broward County Main Library. Ask a librarian to assist you in logging on.

Foreign Trade Statistics - website
This site provides U.S. foreign trade reports from 1994 to the present and annual import and export data for trade with each country from 1996 to the present. It also includes Schedule B Commodity Export Codes, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and information on compliance reporting using the Automated Export System.

Part of Michigan State University's website, Global Edge includes a feature article, conference announcements, and the text of articles from the Journal of International Marketing. It provides global resources and country insights. Key facts on each country, including statistics, history, economy, government, and links to useful sites for international business research are included.
