Attend free online financial webinars from Morningstar Investment Research Center this month in honor of Money Smart Week®. On Wednesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m., Morningstar financial experts will discuss how to prepare your finances for life events ranging from college planning to retirement. The next webinar/teleconference will be held on Friday, April 26 at 11 a.m., and will focus on navigating the Morningstar database, using the portfolio analysis tools and more. Make Living Green a Priority on Earth Day
The first Earth Day, which was celebrated on April 22 in 1970, is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement and developing worldwide awareness of the importance of people working together to preserve the Earth’s environment.
Working on doing your part to save energy on Earth Day? At your library, you can research ideas on recycling and saving electricity, water and fuel. Visit the library’s online research section and read the latest magazine and journal articles on conservation, or browse Broward County Library’s online catalog for books, DVDs, videos and more on how you can help.

Honor Earth Day with a Visit to Broward County Library’s Little Green Library
Looking for information on green building, energy-efficient technology, urban farming and other sustainable initiatives? Visit the Little Green Library and Environmental Learning Center, located at 1033 N.W. 6th St., Suite 102, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, 954-712-7444, and get information on how to lead more efficient and self-sufficient lifestyle. Created through a cooperative initiative between the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County Library, the Little Green Library will showcase a variety of green building techniques that can be practiced at home. As a special library focused entirely on residential green building and sustainable living, the Little Green Library provides limited library service including self check-out only. The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
