Find Out What’s Cooking During National Culinary Arts Month
With the popularity of cooking shows and celebrity chefs on the rise, more and more Americans are learning about new food trends and considering a career in the culinary arts. While foodies looking for role models used to have limited kitchen role models (Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet), today you need only flip on the Food Network, now seen in over 100 million homes, to find Gordon or Giada whipping up restaurant-quality food anyone can make.

National Culinary Arts Month Programs @ Broward County Library
If you’ve got a passion for cooking, National Culinary Arts Month is a great time to indulge it. Celebrated in July, National Culinary Arts Month promotes awareness of professional cooks and chefs and their contributions to new culinary trends and dining excellence. Join us at the library for programs honoring National Culinary Arts Month:
July 9 – Book n’ Cookin’ with Robyne Friedland, ages 5-10, 2 to 3 p.m.,
Pompano Beach Branch Library. Sponsored by the Friends of Pompano Beach Library; pre-registration required: 954-786-2181.
July 14 – See What’s Cooking with a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute Chef, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.,
Miramar Branch Library and Education Center.

Take a Free Online Cooking Class
Do you know your Broward County Library card is your pass to free online cooking classes? National Culinary Arts Month is a great time to try Universal Class, an online educational service that offers more than 500 free lifelong learning classes online. All you need is a Broward County Library card to take fun classes such as:
