Ben Crego is a member of the Land Use, Environment, and Regulation Section of the Office. He works with County agencies to prepare contracts related to real property and development rights, and for services and financial grants. His practice includes drafting amendments to County land-use ordinances and litigating the enforcement of County environmental regulations. He also advises a number of County agencies and quasi-judicial boards on a broad range of legal issues.
Recently, Mr. Crego has focused on establishing and implementing a program to purchase certain rights from owners of hundreds of properties located near the County’s international airport.
Mr. Crego graduated in the top 5 percent of his class from Florida International University College of Law. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of the FIU Law Review and received the Ted and Rosalind Spak Scholarship and a Dean's Scholarship.
