Damaris Henlon’s practice focuses primarily on land use and code enforcement, labor and employment, and complex technology transactions. She advises County agencies on contract and labor issues, defends the County in personal-injury claims, and handles transactional matters. Her practice also includes labor arbitrations, civil-rights cases, complex commercial litigation, actions before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and Americans with Disabilities Act matters. Among her accomplishments, Ms. Henlon helped draft the County’s Wage Theft Ordinance.
Prior to joining the Office of the County Attorney, Ms. Henlon clerked at boutique South Florida litigation firms and completed legal internships with government practices in multiple jurisdictions, including: the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Office of the General Counsel for the United States Department of Agriculture.
