Transportation, Consumer Advocacy and Code Enforcement

The Transportation, Consumer Advocacy, and Code Enforcement Section provides general legal services, including but not limited to drafting legal opinions, agreements, ordinances, and resolutions, for various County departments, agencies, and offices on a wide range of legal issues related to transportation, operational management, consumer protection,  procurement of government goods and services, open government, public safety, and regulatory compliance. The Section advises various County Boards, Councils, and Divisions regarding state, federal, and local laws, and matters of administrative procedure and order. The Section is also responsible for coordinating with legal staff from the County’s constitutional officers, court administration, and the League of Cities, and serves as the liaison regarding issues related to the judiciary, state attorney, and public defender.
