Bienes Museum of the Modern Book: The Dianne and Michael Bienes Special Collections and Rare Book Library

Main Page

Series IX: Serials, 1947-1990 (1.50 linear feet)

This series contains Shaara's collection of periodicals and newspapers. Many include the author's stories, often in their first appearance. A number of publications have reviews of Shaara's works or articles about Shaara. The author also collected issues of periodicals and newspapers pertaining to his interests in FSU news and events. Some of the articles in the magazines also appear in the Clippings series but are retained here to preserve context. The serials are arranged alphabetically by title, then chronologically. Subcategories highlight the specific article within the serial and indicate whether it is About Shaara; By Shaara; Collected by Shaara; or a Review.

Contact the Bienes Museum librarian for access to a chronological listing of Shaara's published short stories within this series. The list is located in a file folder at the front of the series (box 11).
