Friday Night at the Library

Friday events are all about enjoying music, signature delicacies and entertainment! Events are 6:30-9:30PM, $10 per person and for ages 21 and older.

March 29: Experience the Renaissance with Society for Creative Anachronism 
Location: South Regional/Broward College Library​ • Tickets: Eventbrite or $10 at the door
Travel back in time to the Middle Ages and learn how Society for Creative Anachronism researches and recreates the arts, skills and traditions of the pre-17th century world. Have a Renfaire costume? By all means, come garbed in your medieval finery.

April 5: Bahamas
Location: African-American Research Library and Cultural Center • Tickets: Eventbrite or $10 at the door
Enjoy an evening of tropical entertainment and cultural enrichment including music, art, prizes, a travelogue and authentic Bahamian food and beverages (including the evening's signature cocktail).

May 3: Haiti
Location: African-American Research Library and Cultural Center • Tickets: Eventbrite or $10 at the door
Come party with Haiti, the Pearl of the Antilles! The night will be filled with Kompa dance and music, Griot cuisine and our signature drink, the Ayiti Pearl! Dress in red, blue, green and white as we experience Haiti during Haitian History Month.

Events are on the first Friday of select months at various Library locations and all events are for ages 21 and older. Tickets are $10 (includes food/drinks/fun) and can be purchased at the door or online (there is a $1.54 fee for online orders).
