An innovative, no-cost program that fosters career readiness for veterans and military families. The Virtual Career Readiness program offers dedicated training to equip veterans and their families with the resources and knowledge to launch a successful job search. The opportunity offers structured career-readiness training within a highly specialized program developed exclusively for military veterans and their families.

The program is offered by The Welcome Home Group and has been designed in a way that military veterans and their families - accustomed to structure, teamwork and responsibility - can relate to, making clients accountable for completing the program. Counselors work as teammates with clients, make them aware of what they will experience while in the program, and allow them to stay connected with their team after completing the program.

“As a veteran myself, I appreciate the importance of groups such as Welcome Home and the valuable services they provide, says Broward County Libraries Director Kelvin Watson. "I am proud to have Broward County Library partner with Welcome Home to offer this vital service to those who have served our country.”

The Welcome Home Group leverages military success into rewarding civilian careers. Veterans are encouraged to visit The Welcome Home Group website, where they can find out more details about the Library workshops. The Welcome Home Group is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit doing business in the State of Florida. For questions about the series, call Hayley St. John-Ayre at 954-357-8068.
