After-School @ Your Library Free SAT and ACT Workshops
 
 After-School @ Your Library

Provides tutoring, homework help, reading practice and enrichment, computer skills and character development for students 6-12 years old. Parents must first visit the library to register their children in the program. Children are required to attend regularly. Contact your youth services librarian for more information. After-School @ Your Library is funded by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County in partnership with Broward County Library.

FREE SAT & ACT Workshops for College-Bound Students

Foundation sponsored Workshops for College Bound Students preparing for the December SAT and ACT will begin at Main Library in November. The program series targets high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and their parents.

 Step 1: Know Your Program & Commit

All Sessions = Mandatory Attendance

Session 1: SAT/ACT Grammar Practice Test & Strategies
Session 2: SAT/ACT Reading Practice Test & Strategies
Session 3: SAT/ACT Math Practice & Science Test & Strategies
Session 4: SAT/ACT Science Practice, Essay and Test Planning

 Step 2: Know Your Location & Commit

Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33301
 
Session 1: 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014
Session 2: 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014
Session 3: 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014
Session 4: 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014
 
*Due to limited space, pre-registration is required and will begin on October 8th. Please contact Main Library-Youth Services for further information (954-357-7504).


Programs are for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors and include practice tests and strategies, essay writing, and financial aid/scholarship information. Parents are encouraged to attend the first 30 minutes of the first session and the entire last session.
 
Participants must attend every session and should bring two #2 pencils with erasers, notebook, and a calculator to the sessions.

No online registration available. Check in periodically for additional free SAT/ACT programs available at other library locations.
