Money Smart Week® is a public awareness campaign created by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in 2002 that is designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. Hundreds of organizations across the country come together once a year to stress the importance of financial literacy, inform consumers about where they can get help and provide free educational seminars and activities throughout the week.

The African-American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC) Small Business Resource Center
The Small Business Resource Center, located at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC), offers resources both online and at AARLCC to assist with business plans, marketing, money matters and more. Two Broward County agencies – the Office of Economic and Small Business Development and the Purchasing Division – present an annual series of informational workshops there that are designed to assist entrepreneurs in accessing County procurement opportunities.
