“The Harlem Renaissance - The Great Expression” Exhibit Now Open at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center

harlem renaissanceThe Harlem Renaissance - The Great Expression at the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center is a large-scale exhibit celebrating the creativity and cultural impact of the Harlem Renaissance with museum-style displays, a motion sensor avatar experience and a virtual reality trip through the Harlem Renaissance with the aid of an Oculus Rift headset.

If you’re looking for a unique volunteer experience, the exhibit is seeking volunteers to help guide tours for both children and adults. This would be a particularly good match for retired educators, but anyone with a flexible schedule and a love of sharing knowledge would be considered. Tour talking points will be provided. Schedules will be made based on volunteers' availability.

If you are interested in considering this volunteer activity and would like more information, please contact Essie DeNoms, edenoms@broward.org or phone 954-357-5979.
