Art Spot: Can you name the library branch where this public art is located?

CLUES:

  • Artists:  Steve Gillman & Katherine Keefer
  • Title:  Written Words
  • Medium:  Sculpture - Large Installation
  • Year Installed:  2007
  • The art plaza “Written Words” is a unique space within a larger exterior plaza adjacent to the library. The setting is the larger plaza's grid pattern, in which the art occupies a 32' x 32' area carved into a group of four grassy mounds. The environment consists of granite benches, abstract granite sculpture, text-inlaid concrete sidewalk and granite retaining walls cladding the cut-out mounds. The artwork's skewed grid is a metaphor for how knowledge from the library changes perspectives.

Come back next week for the answer!
