Bus Passes Available at Most Library Locations

father and son on busSave money and avoid stressful traffic by riding with Broward County Transit! Bus passes can be purchased at most Broward County Library locations. The new online service, MyRide.broward.org, helps you know when the next three buses will arrive straight to your location. Search by bus stop ID (listed at each stop) or route number to find it on the map and get estimated arrival times based on the bus location. View other routes in your bus stop by scrolling on the right and selecting the bus route.

Broward County Transit’s public transportation services cover an area of approximately 410 square miles with a total operating fleet of 346 buses (standard forty-foot transit coaches, forty-two-foot, and sixty-foot articulated buses) on fixed-routes throughout the county. They also have links to Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties transit systems and to Tri-Rail’s commuter rail service.

For more information or for help planning your ride, please call 954-357-8400.

Art Spot: Can you name the library branch where this public art is located?

CLUES:

  • Artist:  Nitin Jayaswal & Margaret Tolbert
  • Title:  Reflections
  • Medium:  Photographs
  • Size: 56 photos, 32" X 24" each
  • Year Installed:  2006

This photographic series of 56 photographs of 16 pairs of images installed on the sides of columns and along one wall provides images of nature that flip from one to another depending on the viewer's position and movement. The shifting visual imagery occurs as the viewer is physically exploring and browsing the library, moving around its shelves and resources. A metaphor, it suggests that exploring the ideas discovered within the library also provides multiple viewpoints.

Come back next week for the answer!
