Information inquiries will be prioritized with law enforcement and families of the deceased given the highest priority. Each inquiry must be carefully considered and thoroughly researched before responding to ensure the information provided is accurate and the laws that govern the release of information and those that protect health related medical information are followed.

How to Request Information

Information inquiries by e-mail are preferred. E-mail inquiries to Med_Exam_Trauma@broward.org.  Requests can also be made by calling 954-357-5200 or in person at 5301 S.W. 31st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays. Information inquiries by e-mail are more efficient and thereby require less time to complete.

Response Time

Public information inquiries that are received by 10 a.m. on a business day will be responded to no later than 4 p.m. the following business day.
