Are you on the map?
You can create a NatureScape Broward landscape in two ways: Certify through the National Wildlife Federation and/or have your landscape recognized through Florida Yards & Neighborhoods program. Once you complete either program, your NatureScape will be added to this map.

National Wildlife Federation
(NWF) has been helping people nurture wildlife for nearly 40 years. A certified wildlife habitat is created by providing the four basic components of habitat.
Certify your home or schoolyard wildlife habitat directly online at NWF Application
Community Habitats
A Community Wildlife Habitat is a community that provides habitat for wildlife throughout the community. The following municipalities (outlined on map) are registered or certified Commmunity Wildlife Habitats: Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Town of Davie, Deerfield Beach, Hallandale Beach, Lighthouse Point, Oakland Park, Parkland, Plantation, Pompano Beach and Wilton Manors. Broward County, certified in 2005, encourages all of its municipalities to become certified Community Wildlife Habitats.

Florida Yards & Neighborhoods (FYN) recognizes landscapes that promote the protection of water resources through the use of Florida-friendly landscape principles. Download the FYN Official Yard Recognition Checklist at FYN_Yard_Recognition_Checklist_2010.pdf
