The Environmental Specialists Team provides high quality environmental data while striving for improvement in methodology and operational efficiency to improve cost effectiveness.
Environmental samples are collected in the field and analyzed in the laboratory according to the most recent EPA, and NELAC protocol. The Environmental Specialists members regularly attend seminars, training sessions, and industry specific expositions to stay on the cutting edge of laboratory technology.
The Chemists on this team analyze groundwater, surface water, wastewater, soils and sludge for pollutants utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation such as gas chromatograph-mass spectrometers, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometers, atomic absorbtion spectrometers, and segmented flow auto analyzers.
The Environmental Specialists Team test for inorganic analytes including trace metals, minerals, mercury, nutrients (nitrogen and phosphate based), and total organic carbon; and organic constituents including volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, petroleum products, and various other environmental quality indices.
