A limited number of spaces are available for NWF Habitat Steward training January 7 -11, 2019.  Habitat Steward Training includes field trips, expert speakers, and materials. Applicants must attend the entire training. There is no fee and class size is limited. This training is provided by NatureScape Broward. Volunteer commitment is required.​  Email​ to request application.

NatureScape Emerald Awards

We are accepting applications for NatureScape Emerald Awards...visit webpage to download the application.  The Award Winners will receive their awards and trophies at a special ceremony during the 17th Annual Water Matters Day on
March 9, 2019.​ 

Manatee Season is November 15 - March 31

Protect Florida's manatees with the ‘I Spy a Manatee’ mobile manatees and their activities, and view manatee protection and boating safety zones in Broward County.



The Town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea and Lauderdale-By-The-Sea Garden Club hosted a day of presentations on coastal and marine resources on November 15th.  NatureScape Broward thanks the Town staff, officials and Garden Club members for a great day of fun and education.

Butterflies-By-The-Sea Program to create 150 new butterfly habitats 

We encourage residents and business owners in the Town to protect butterflies and other pollinators. Create a home, condo or business butterfly habitat and register online with the National Wildlife Federation. For more information about starting a butterfly garden, please e-mail Allison Zack at or call 585-748-5051.​
