October 13 - "A Whale of a Problem" - Becky Weeks, Stranding Response with the Marine Mammal Conservancy, Key Largo - Participants in this hands-on program will learn about stranded whale and dolphin rescues through interactive displays that provide information on the biology of marine mammals and the associated possible causes of strandings.
November 3 - "Be a Good Angler!" - Kristen Hoss, Founder of Tanawha Presents and Executive Director, Youth Environmental Alliance; and Lara Kramer, Director, Fish Florida - Wish you could fish? You can! We'll have hands-on, fun learning activities to teach you about fish and what they eat, how to use a fishing rod, how to tie on a hook, and how to catch and release fish. Afterward, we'll fish from the nature center's pier. Bring your own fishing gear or borrow some on site and let's "go fish."
December 8 - "Art and Nature" - Area artists will work with families to help them explore their creative side and see nature in a new artistic light.
