The Lunch-and-Learn Nature Series consists of three monthly lectures, designed for adults, focusing on a different theme each month. Lunch will be served. A donation of $7 per person per lecture is requested, to benefit the Friends of Anne Kolb Nature Center volunteer group. For more information, call the nature center at 954-357-5161.

January 24 - "Florida's Big Dig: The Intracoastal Waterway From Jacksonville to Miami" - William G. Crawford, Esq., an author and expert on Florida's famous waterway, chronicles the difficulties in planning and carrying out this innovative watery superhighway.

February 21 - "Pollinator Gardening" - Georgia Tasker of the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden will discuss what we can do in our own gardens in response to the decline of domesticated and native bees and several endangered butterflies. She'll touch on the South Florida plants that are used by both butterflies and bees.

March 21 - "E-X-P-A-N-D-I-N-G Your Plant Palette: Flowering Trees and Shrubs of South Florida" -Director Emeritus Larry M. Schokman, of the Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Miami, will offer a lively presentation of the stunning array of colorful flora available to see and plant in subtropical Florida.
