Based on Customer Satisfaction Survey Results
On March 27, 2006, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to open this community center. The nearly one-acre site is located within the Municipal Services District (formerly unincorporated Broward County). At the request of the Boulevard Gardens Community Group, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners approved the development of the park. Amenities include
picnic tables, benches, grills, a lighted concrete pathway, and game equipment (basketball net, tetherball, etc.).
The community center offers a free After-School Program for ages 6 to 17, as well as a free Summer Recreation Program and youth sports development programs. Facility Rental Information
Boulevard Gardens currently offers a small shelter that has a maximum occupancy of 15 to 20 patrons.
Small Shelter Rental Fee: $76.32 ($72.00 + $4.32 tax)
Saturday Rentals only (due to operational needs during week)
Hours of operations: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
At this facility, power is not offered. You are responsible for any electronic equipment entering this park. Park management must give approval if you plan to use a generator as a power source.
A water fountain is offered within this park. Any other means of distributing water is the customer’s responsibility. Use of inside building is prohibited.
A deposit of $50 in cash or credit is required on the day of the event and must be paid before setup. Patrons must clean up and vacate the premises by designated time (5 p.m.). If bathrooms are damaged (inside building) then your deposit may not be returned.
All vehicles must be parked in designated areas only (not on the property of others such as surrounding homes/apartments). Any other arrangements must be approved by park management and noted on permit (informed by us also). Pursuant to Florida law, park management reserves the right to tow abandoned and illegally parked vehicles or boats.
Loud/Amplified Sound or Music
Amplified music or loud noise that disturbs patrons and surrounding homes is prohibited, unless approved by park management. Park management has the authority to require permit holder to turn sound down or off. Failure to comply with this rule will result in loss of security deposit and possible expulsion from this park.
Pursuant to Broward County Code Chapter 25 1/2, the consumption of beer and wine is permitted only within certain Broward County parks (could be designated to only certain areas within a park). Any other beverages with alcoholic content are prohibited. No alcoholic beverages are permitted at neighborhood parks without a special permit from park management. Park management has the authority to revoke all permits. Local authorities will be notified if alcoholic beverages are being consumed by minors. Distribution and consumption of all alcoholic beverages must be shut down one hour prior to park closing. Glass containers are prohibited.
