Do you offer pesticide training classes and CEU courses, and how do I register for them?
We offer a limited number of pesticide applicator training classes throughout the year, as well as programs that allow you to earn CEU's. Additional training and CEU opportunities in neighboring counties and throughout the state can be found here.
What license do I need?
A helpful key to finding the right pesticide license for your needs can be found here. If you are interested only in the Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance license (also known as the "Roundup License"), information can be found here.
Do you offer pesticide applicator licensing exams?
Yes, written exams are offered at 8:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at the UF/IFAS Broward County Extension Office, 3245 College Ave., Davie 33314. With the exception of the Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance license, preregistration and preapproval are not required - just show up for the exam. Please be prompt as testing begins at 8:30 a.m. sharp.
Do you sell pesticide application training/study manuals?
No, although study materials can be ordered from the UF/IFAS bookstore Website.
Where can I obtain more specific information about pesticide licensing?
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services issues pesticide licenses. Additional information can be found here.
