Kayakers and paddleboarders are invited to help clean up the waterways around this island park in observance of Earth Day. The park is bordered by the Hillsboro Canal, the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Royal Palm Canal, ensuring that the island is a magnet for a variety of debris.

Bring your own kayak or paddleboard and help us remove trash and debris. Don't have one? They're available to rent for the event from two of our sponsors, Dixie Divers and Island Water Sports. Or you can volunteer on land to remove debris from shorelines and help with event logistics such as registration.

For preregistration, call Quiet Waters Park, which manages Deerfield Island, at 954-357-5113. Volunteers will meet at Sullivan Park on Riverview Road, to the left off Hillsboro Boulevard near the western end of the drawbridge over the Intracoastal Waterway.
