Woofing Waters Dog Park
Quiet Waters Park, 401 S. Powerline Rd., Deerfield Beach
Woofing Waters consists of approximately two acres in the northwest corner of Quiet Waters Park. The canine facility comprises two sections: one designated for larger dogs, the other for smaller dogs. Features for the big dogs include a spray hydrant, a shower nozzle, an eight-nozzle line jet, and nearly 800 linear feet of hard-surface paths. Little dogs also get a shower nozzle and an eight-nozzle line jet, as well as a ring, or water loop, where they can run through an assortment of sprays. The smaller dogs also have a grassy, fenced area they can run around in freely, plus 500 linear feet of hard-surface path.
Each section includes a dog-wash area, as well as doggie drinking fountains. Both sections are surrounded by pervious, or permeable, pavement to prevent runoff that would muddy the St. Augustine grass used throughout the dog park.
While they wait on the sidelines, the hounds' human companions can take shade under 20-foot umbrellas, relax on benches and at picnic tables, and sip from water fountains to cool off. A building housing restrooms and concession operations serves both the dog park and the marina.
Owners must have proof of current vaccination for each dog. Register at the park office on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and at Woofing Waters Dog Park & Marina on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Hours of operation:
