A Little History
This 20.8-acre site, which is only eight feet above sea level at its lowest point, was originally commonly known as Big Hole Park and the Rock Pit, and is located within the Broward Municipal Services District (formerly unincorporated Broward County). The park became a center of athletic and recreational activity after the Broward County Commission leased it in 1963 to the Southwest Athletic Association, a nonprofit volunteer group. The park took its current name from its Sun-View Recreation Building, which was named for the two Little League groups that used the park, Sunset Little League and Broadview Park Little League. The original structure was destroyed by a fire in 2010 and replaced with the current modular building.

This park may be home to wildlife. If you have questions regarding wildlife or wish additional information, please call the park number above.
