Our Service Commitment to Scouts
Broward County Parks and Recreation currently operates a total of nearly 6,500 acres including natural areas. Our nature centers provide access to several different habitats, including freshwater wetlands and mangrove forests. Some of our sites provide access to recreational amenities and activities such as playgrounds, picnic facilities, camping, canoeing, and sports programs. Our badge programs are designed by park naturalists, some of whom were once active scouts and leaders. Our goal is to make learning enjoyable.
Service Projects
We have service projects available for all ages and group sizes: exotic removal, waterway cleanup, air potato roundup, tree planting, etc.
Complete your troop, pack, or individual conservation projects with us. Scouts can complete their Star, Life, and Eagle Scout projects. Silver and Gold Award projects are also available. Our professional staff will help you coordinate projects to fit your needs. Check out our calendar of scouting events.
