  • Cable Water-Skiing Ski Rixen USA at Quiet Waters (954.429.0215) – The only wakeboard and water-ski park in South Florida lets you slalom, trick-ski, kneeboard, wakeboard, or even surf without a wave – or a boat. For ages 12 and up. Open daily except Mondays. Fee required.

  • Disc GolfBrian Piccolo (954.357.5150), Easterlin (954.357.5190), Markham (954.357.8868), Plantation Heritage (954.357.5135), Quiet Waters (954.357.5100), and Tradewinds (954.357.8870) – Game or sport? Either way, this activity is rapidly growing in popularity. You can play it for free in these parks, but bring your own gear and pick up a course map and score cards in the park office.

  • Dog Parks – Barkham at Markham (954.357.8868) and Woofing Waters at Quiet Waters (954.357.5100) – Let your canine(s) cavort leash free at these facilities that provide open areas for both small and large dogs, along with other features, including water attractions at Woofing Waters. Daily fee required, or you can purchase an annual or seasonal membership.

  • Food Truck Nights - The food truck phenomenon that has swept the U.S. over the course of the past decade continue to grow according to the United States Census​. It should come as a surprise that Florida, with its warm and sunny evenings, is one of the top 10 states that accounted for 57 percent of the U.S. total number of food trucks! We offer Food Truck Frenzy! at Quiet Waters Park (954.357.5100) on the third Thursday of each month and Tree Tops Park (954.357.5130) on the first Thursday of each month. The events run from 6 to 9 p.m.

  • Model Steam Train RidesTradewinds (954.357.8870) – One-eighth life-size trains operate on the third full weekend of the month, offering half-mile rides along a lake, for just $1.50 per ride.

  • Mountain Bike TrailsMarkham (954.357.8868) and Quiet Waters (954.357.5100) – A lack of mountains in South Florida is no obstacle to the volunteers who built and now maintain the 14 miles of trails (including adaptive ones) at Markham and the seven-plus miles at Quiet Waters.  Pay by the day, or pick up an annual membership.

  • Personal Watercraft Lake Markham (954.357.8868) – Launch your Jet-Ski, WaveRunner, or other craft and enjoy a three-hour session on this 26-acre lake, open afternoons only through the end of October. Fee required.

  • Rent-a-Tent/Tepee Camping Quiet Waters (954.357.5100) – Introduce your kids to "roughing it" the easy way – by reserving one of the 25 platform tents or two tepees, already set up and ready to move into. We provide water, electricity, a grill, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Fee required.

  • RV CampingC.B. Smith (954.357.5170), Easterlin (954.357.5190), Markham (954.357.8868), and T.Y. (954.357.8811) – Forget roughing it and enjoy a staycation with your RV. You'll be close to all the other amenities offered at these four parks. Reservation and fee required.

  • Water ParksParadise Cove at C.B. Smith (954.357.5170), Splash Adventure at Quiet Waters (954.357.5100), and Castaway Island at T.Y. (954.357.8811) – All three water parks include two water playgrounds, one of which is geared to younger children. Paradise Cove also has a tube ride, and Castaway Island includes a swim lagoon. Open daily through August 15, weekends only thereafter through September 25. Fees vary by park.
