MEMORIAL FITNESS ZONES

The Parks and Recreation Division has teamed up with Memorial Healthcare Systems to offer two wheelchair-accessible Memorial Fitness Zones: one at Brian Piccolo Sports Park & Velodrome in Cooper City, which opened December 2015, and the other at T.Y. Park in Hollywood, which opened in December 2013. The partnership with Memorial and its generous equipment donations allow park guests, ages 14 and up, an opportunity to get a free workout on the same kind of sturdy equipment you would find in a gym. Memorial Healthcare also offers free monthly workshops to show adults how to use the equipment to optimize workouts. Check with the park office for dates and times.
