Code Compliance Investigation Request

Welcome to the Broward County Code Compliance Online Complaint Form. This form provides citizens of the Unincorporated Areas of Broward County with the option of filing a complaint or concern with us. If you prefer, you may contact us by calling (954) 765-4400, option “8” to file a complaint during normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Please note: We only handle code enforcement concerns for properties that are located within unincorporated Broward County. To report a violation for a property that is located within a city, please contact that city's code enforcement office to prevent a delay in receiving assistance. To verify the jurisdiction of a property, please check with the Broward County Property Appraiser's Office.

Important Information
We monitor complaints submitted online during our normal business hours. For any incident that is happening right now or that has just occurred (e.g., littering or illegal dumping), please do not use this form. Instead, immediately dial 911 from a telephone to make a report to your local law enforcement department.

After receiving the complaint, a case will be opened for investigation and assigned to a Code Enforcement Officer.

Before Submitting Your Complaint
At a minimum, the County needs the following information to investigate your complaint:

  1. The location of the violation (street address)
  2. A brief description of your complaint
  3. Your name and a phone number where you can be reached

Notice: All required fields marked with a * asterisk must be filled out for the form to be submitted and investigated. Complaints are a matter of public record and as such will be disclosed to responsible parties upon written request.
