Climate Change Element Receives National Planning Excellence Award

The Climate Change Element of the Broward County, Florida, Comprehensive Plan (Element) received the American Planning Association’s (APA) 2014 National Planning Excellence Award for Environmental Planning for its county-wide strategy to protect residents, businesses and infrastructure from climate change impacts and promote energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reductions. The Environmental Planning Award honors efforts to create greener communities that reduce the impact of development on the natural environment and improve environmental quality. More
