The Broward County Board of County Commissioners has approved an enhanced public notification requirement for solid waste management facilities (including dumps, incinerators, resource recovery facilities, and sanitary landfills). The new requirements include notification to property owners, residents, and board members of condominium and homeowner associations within a four-mile radius of the solid waste management facility if they sign up for email notification. Signing up for notifications will result in receiving notifications for all solid waste management facilities in Broward County.
