About
Recycling
What
is Recycling?
Recycling is when something old is made
into something new. See how the items you recycle make a
difference in the
conversionator.
How do
I Recycle?
In
Broward County,
residents can recycle
in many ways. Some
residents who live
in single-family
houses can recycle
at their curbside
by placing their
filled recycling
bin, bags or cart
outside for
pick-up. Other residents,
who live in multi-family
homes, like apartment
buildings, can take
their recyclables
to the large recycling
roll-off container
shared with their
neighbors. Residents
can also recycle
at Broward County
public schools, government
buildings
and parks. Since
you can recycle
different things
in different places,
here's a list to
help you:

to Recycle at

- Plastic containers (narrow necks only) such as bottles (without caps or lids) and milk, water, detergent and shampoo containers (without caps or lids)
- Glass food and beverage containers, milk/juice cartons and drink boxes
- Aluminum and steel food and beverage containers
- Cardboard from non-food items such as shipping boxes
DO NOT place these items in your single-stream cart or bin(s):
