Special Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Drop-Off Event on Sunday, March 8th, in Lauderdale Lakes

Solid Waste and Recycling Services and Participating Cities will hold a one-day drop-off event for the disposal of household hazardous waste and electronics on Sunday, March 8th. The event will be held in the parking lot across from the Lauderdale Lakes Parks and Recreation Sports Complex (1 block west of S.R. 7 and N.W. 36th St.). Residents of participating cities can drop off items from 8 AM to 3 PM. Items dropped off are recycled, refurbished, or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. See the full schedule of upcoming events and details here.

Adopt A Street signThe Adopt-A-Street program has a new look, and so do some Broward County streets as volunteers make a clean sweep. In 2014, volunteers removed 2,800 pounds of litter from 24 miles of streets.
