Special Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Drop-Off Event on Sunday, March 1st, in Cooper City 

Solid Waste and Recycling Services and Participating Cities will hold a one-day drop-off event for the disposal of household hazardous waste and electronics on Sunday, March 1st, in Cooper City. The location is 10300 Stirling Rd. (Sports Complex). Residents of participating cities can drop off items from 8 AM to 3 PM. Items dropped off are recycled, refurbished, or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. See the full schedule of upcoming events and details here.

Solid Waste and Recycling Services is spreading the word to Broward County residents that recycling is an option in many townhomes, condos and apartment buildings. Adopt A Street signThe Adopt-A-Street program has a new look, and so do some Broward County streets as volunteers make a clean sweep. In 2014, volunteers removed 2,800 pounds of litter from 24 miles of streets.
