Lobbyist Registration
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners approved an Ordinance relating to lobbying activities. This Ordinance expands the activities for which a person must register as a lobbyist with Broward County and the penalties for violating the registration and reporting requirements of the Broward County Lobbyist Registration Act.
The Ordinance also creates a Cone of Silence that applies upon shortlisting. The Ordinance only applies to procurement activities, i.e., request for proposals, request for letters of interest, bids or other competitive solicitation. It does not apply to sole source procurements.
