Proposed Revisions to the
Broward County Code
Chapter 27, Article IV, Air Quality
Deadline to submit comments is April 25, 2007.
|
The Broward County Environmental Protection Department's Air Quality Division is planning to amend Broward County Code Chapter 27, Article VI, Air Quality.
Please note that the proposed revisions to Article VI affecting crematories will not change the regulatory intent of the requirements concerning pollutant emissions testing of new and existing facilities. The revisions to the Broward County Code regarding crematories is necessary in order to maintain consistency with recent changes made to the Florida Administrative Code that came into effect on January of 2007.
A Public Workshop is scheduled to present details of the proposed revisions and to solicit comments from the public. The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday April 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor hearing room of the Broward County Government Center West. The Government Center West is located at One University Drive in Plantation, which is at the northwest corner of University Drive and Broward Boulevard.
Subsequent to the Public Workshop, there will also be an opportunity for public hearing when the revisions are formerly considered by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
