Predicted Levels Compared to Monitoring Data

NATA Data shown are from the 1996 NATA completed in 2002. The 1999 NATA results are expected in 2005. The site will be updated when this new data is available for public release.

Note: The detection limit of the instrument is the lowest instrument response above zero detectable that is readable by the instrument.

Of the 33 air toxics covered in NATA, in 1996 Broward County Environmental Protection Department (EPD) monitored for 10. While modeled concentrations were comparable to measured concentrations (within a factor of two) for five of the ten compounds, the others did not agree as well. An obstacle encountered with the analyses was that the modeled and measured concentrations of four of these pollutants were below detection limits in the 166 samples collected in 1996.
