AIRPORT PARKING
Q. What are the parking options/rates at the airport?

A. To find out about parking options, rates and services offered at FLL visit the Parking page.

Q. How do I get to the terminals from the parking garage?

A. Located at the lower level of the parking garage, there is a courtesy shuttle that transports passengers to each terminal.

Q. Who do I contact regarding items lost in the parking garage or parking shuttles?

AMERICAN DISABILITY ACT (ADA)
Q. Where can I get general information for travelers with a disability?

A. Check the Federal Aviation website at www.faa.gov/.

Q. Where can a passenger request a wheelchair?

A. Passengers requiring the use of a wheelchair must contact their airline to accommodate them upon their arrival at the airport.

Q. What is the Florida TTY/Relay Service phone number?

A. 1-800-955-8770 (V) or 1-800-955-8771 (TTY).

Q. How does the "ADA Parking Access Feature" work?

A. It is available for persons with upper body mobility limitations. Rather than pulling a ticket, vehicle information is recorded via speaker phone and remote camera. Parking charges are calculated upon exiting the parking lot.

Q. I am a patron with a Disabled Parking decal, am I entitled to "courtesy" parking?

A. Persons operating vehicles that display a Florida Toll Exemption permit or that are equipped with specialized equipment for utilization by a person, who has a disability, such as foot or hand controls, lifts or ramps, will be provided with courtesy parking, subject to Aviation Department verification procedures.


BAGGAGE SERVICES/STORAGE
Q. How do I find out information about airline baggage services?

A. For locations and hours of operations of individual airline baggage services, contact individual airline via our Tenant Directory or call 866-I-FLY-FLL.

Q. Is there a baggage storage service available at the airport?

A. Contact Fort Lauderdale Business Service Center at (954) 359-7610 for information regarding public baggage storage.

Q. If I am a Southwest Airlines passenger embarking on a cruise, can I arrange in advance for my return flight check-in at the seaport?

A. Yes, Contact Bags-to-Go Enterprises LLC at www.baggagecheckin.com or at 954-359-5505. Also see additional information under Terminal Services.

Q. Who do I contact regarding my lost baggage?

A. Passengers must contact the individual airline, see our Tenant Directory or call 866-I-FLY-FLL.

Q. Where can I get a Smarte Carte for my luggage?

A. The Smarte Cartes are located throughout the airport facility; look for the Smarte Carte signs outside the terminal or baggage claim area. For safety regulations, the Smarte Cartes are not allowed in the any of the courtesy shuttle buses. However, if the passenger plans to continue to use the cart once they get off the bus, they can request a smarte carte token from the driver, which will allow them to get a new cart at no charge. Return the carts at any receptacle locations and receive $0.25 refund per cart.

Q. Is there a currency exchange service available at the airport?

Q. Is there a notary service available at the airport?

A. This service is currently not available.

Q. Can I send a money gram at the airport?

Q. Are there ATMs located at the airport?

Q. How can I receive a copy of the Tenant Directory?

Q. I operate a concessions company and would like to set up a kiosk at FLL. How do I get started?

A. Call BCAD at 954-359-6147 or email FLLBusiness@broward.org for additional information.

Q. What type of space is available for lease from FLL?

A. BCAD does not have hangar or office space available for lease; however you can contact the BCAD Business Division Land Section for names of tenants that you can contact regarding leased space availability.

FLIGHT INFORMATION
Q. How early should I check in for a departing flight?

A. Advised check-in guidelines are one hour before domestic flights and 2 hours before international flights. It is always a good idea, however, to check with your airline or tour operator for updates on your departure day.

Q. What documents are required at the Security checkpoint?

A. You will be required to show your boarding pass and a photo ID or visit www.tsa.gov for the latest information.

Q. I'm picking up a friend at FLL later today. What is the best way to find out if the flight is on schedule?

A. To find the status of any flight, access the Real Time Flight Information.

Q. Where can I find a list of approved and prohibited carry-on items?

A. The Transportation Safety Administration's (TSA's) web site provides abundant security tips and is an informative resource about the items you can and can't bring on board an airplane. Click on the link above or visit www.tsa.gov.

RENTAL CAR CENTER
Q. Where is the Rental Car Center located?

A. Location, driving directions and much more information regarding the Rental Car Center can be found at on our Rental Cars page.

Q. Who are the companies located at the Rental Car Center?

A. Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E-Z, Hertz, National, Royal, and Thrifty. For more information consult our Rental Cars page.

Q. Where do the other rental car companies that are not at the Rental Car Center pick-up their customers?

A. The off-site rental car companies pick up their customers outside the main entrance of the Rental Car Center building, located at the third floor level. l. Follow the signs to Bus Stop Seven for-site shuttle customer pick-up.

Q. How do I get TO the Rental Car Center FROM the terminals?

A. From Terminal 1 - located at concourse B is a pedestrian bridge that connects directly to the Rental Car Center. From Terminal 2, 3, & 4 - there are courtesy shuttle buses to the Rental Car Center that are located at the ground transportation area (GTA) in the arrival level.

Q. How do I get TO the terminals FROM the Rental Car Center?

A. To Terminal 1- located at the 2nd Floor level is a pedestrian bridge that connects directly to concourse B of terminal 1. To Terminal 2, 3, & 4 - located at the 3rd floor level, outside the main entrance of the Rental Car Center, are courtesy shuttle buses that are located that transport passenger to each terminals, except Terminal 1.

Q. Can I take my smarte carte inside courtesy shuttle bus?

A. For safety regulations, the Smarte Cartes are not allowed in the any of the courtesy shuttle buses. However, if the passenger plans to continue to use the cart once they get off the bus, they can request a smarte carte token from the driver, which will allow them to get a new cart at no charge.


RESTAURANTS and CONCESSIONS
Q. What kinds of restaurants or cafés are available at the airport?

TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN THE TERMINALS
Q. How do I get from one terminal to another?

A. Located at the lower level of each terminal entrance, you can catch a courtesy shuttle bus that transports passengers from terminal to terminal.

Q. How do I get to each terminal from the parking garage?

A. Located at the lower level of the parking garage, there is a courtesy shuttle that transports passengers to each terminal.

Watch for Tram stops on the lower level of the Garage Complex. The Trams run every 8 minutes and will transport you quickly and effortlessly to your terminal.


TRANSPORTATION TO MIAMI AND PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS

Q. How do I get to Miami International Airport (MIA)?

A. There are four transportation options to MIA: shared van, exclusive car, taxi, and by train/bus.

1. Shared Van
GO Airport Shuttle offers shared van rides (per person) for $23 to MIA. A van will hold a maximum of ten passengers.

2. Exclusive Car
GO Airport Shuttle also offer exclusive car rides (for up to four people) for $72.50 to MIA.

3. Taxi
Taxi cabs through Yellow Cab are also available from FLL. Fees are based on meter readings and estimated at $67 to MIA. Cabs accept up to five people for the fare stated on the taxi's meter.

The taxi cabs operate 24/7.   

GO Airport Shuttle services (shared van and exclusive car) are available for all incoming flights. If you need their service more than a few hours after the last fight arrives, contact them by phone.

Waiting Times
Maximum wait is 30 minutes for the shared van. Most vans leave within 10 minutes. Exclusive car service and taxi cabs are generally available immediately.

Travel Time
Travel time is about 45 minutes without traffic. We recommend allowing at least 90 minutes for travel, especially during morning and evening rush hour. 

4. Train 
Tri-Rail (commuter train) offers direct service to MIA. For more information, visit Tri-Rail, or call 800-874-7245.

Broward County Transit  provides free shuttle buses from the FLL terminals to the Tri-Rail station just a few miles from the airport. For more information, call their Customer Service Center at 954-357-8400.

Shuttle bus stops are located:

Between Terminals 3 and 4

Q. How do I get to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)?

A. There are four transportation options from FLL to PBI: shared van, exclusive car, taxi, and train/bus.

1. Shared Van
Shared van rides offered by GO Airport Shuttle to PBI are $41 per person.

2. Exclusive Car
GO Airport Shuttle also offers exclusive car rides for $100 (for up to four people).

Q. How do I get to Port Everglades?

A. Located less than four miles from FLL, there are three transportation options: shared van, exclusive car, and taxi.

1. Shared Van
Shared van rides offered through GO Airport Shuttle cost $11 per person to Port Everglades.  A van will hold a maximum of ten passengers.

2. Exclusive Car
GO Airport Shuttle also offer exclusive car rides to Port Everglades for $40 (for up to four people).

There are four transportation options to the Port of Miami: shared van, exclusive car, taxi, and by train/bus.

1. Shared Van
GO Airport Shuttle offers shared van rides (per person) for $21 to the Port of Miami.  A van will hold a maximum of ten passengers.

2. Exclusive Car
GO Airport Shuttle also offers exclusive car rides (for up to four people) for $70 to the Port of Miami.
