Have Fun Helping Travelers
Airport Volunteer Ambassadors are among the first people to welcome visitors and promote the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. Everyday, thousands of travelers come to the airport and seek out friendly, helpful Volunteer Ambassadors to answer their questions about the airport, hotels, restaurants, and area attractions.
Airport Volunteer Ambassadors, in distinctive red jackets, are diplomats of goodwill with the sole purpose of ensuring that a visit to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will be a pleasant experience.
- Work with a wonderful group of volunteers.
- Free parking while volunteering.
- Free uniforms.
- Free tours to local attractions and events.
- Airport concession discounts.
- No experience needed, training will be provided.
Broward County Aviation Department is committed to providing exceptional customer service to more than 22 million passengers traveling through Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport each year.
- Age 16 and above.
- Shifts available seven days a week between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
- At least one four-hour shift a week.
1. Print and complete the Request for Criminal Background Information Form. Due to heightened security at airports, you must complete this form.
2. FAX (954-359-0027), or mail the completed form to:

3. The Volunteer Coordinator will call you after receiving the results of the background check.
4. Meet with the Volunteer Coordinator.
