AnimalAid, Inc.
Animal Aid, Inc. is a volunteer, nonprofit, no-kill Animal rescue shelter and adoption center. Animal Aid is dedicated to the welfare of stray and feral Animals and to the reduction in the over-population problem through education and spay/neuter efforts. Volunteers focus on the overpopulation problem of stray and feral cats by offering to the public a humane trap/spay/return service. The shelter takes in emergency, abuse, and neglect cases as well as dogs and cats from government Animal agencies in Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. They offer cats and dogs for adoption.
Adoption Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2 - 6 p.m.; Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m.; and Saturday from Noon - 4 p.m. Closed Sunday.
The adoption fees are: Puppies/Dogs - $150 and includes heartworm, ehrlichia, lyme test, spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, 5-way series of puppy vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, Frontline (de-flea/tick), earmite treatment, microchip, vet checkup, and initial grooming. Kittens - $75 and includes spay or neuter (when old enough), leukemia test, fecal exam, rabies vaccine (when old enough), entire series of kitten vaccines, flea control, both deworming treatments, and one vet visit. Cats - $60 and includes spay or neuter, aids/leukemia test, fecal exam, rabies vaccine, 5-way combo vaccine, flea control, and one vet visit.

Cockers N More
Cockers N More is a nonprofit, no-kill shelter, made up of a small group of volunteers who place abandoned, abused, and neglected cocker spaniels and other small breed dogs in new loving homes. Dogs stay with the organization until adopted. The dogs receive needed medical care and are vaccinated, sterilized, heartworm free, and assessed for temperament before adopted. To ensure a lasting placement in the right home, volunteers may conduct telephone interviews, personal meetings, and home visits before the final adoption can take place. Applications, adoptions agreements, and adoption fees are required for each dog. The organization relies solely on donations and volunteers.

Humane Society of Broward County Spay Neuter Department offers low-cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats through its mobile Spay and Neuter Van. The van travels throughout Broward County. Pet owners drop off their pets in the morning and pick them up the same afternoon. A licensed veterinarian performs the surgeries in the specially equipped van. Prices start at $20 and goes up. There is a 50 pound weight limit for Animals.

Miami-Dade Police Department Animal Services Unit The Animal Care and Control Division's primary responsibility is the protection of the public from rabies and problems associated with stray dogs. The Division picks up stray and injured dogs, and issues citations for failure to follow the Animal laws. It is funded solely by dog license tag sales, shelter fees, enforcement fines, and private grants and donations. The Division receives no General Fund tax support.
