Rabies Warning

Rabies is a serious, infectious, viral disease that attacks the nervous system of warm-blooded animals including humans. Unless your pet is protected by a rabies vaccine, rabies is almost always fatal.

Broward County has reported 30 cases of rabies since the outbreak began in July 2000.

In Palm Beach County, there have been four cases of rabies in 2005, seven cases in 2004, and a record 39 cases in 2003.
